Dear Mrs. Pinborough,
I do hope all is well with you I've been going to write so many times but at last have made a start. I was so very glad to hear you had a safe arrival home after such a long long journey. How delighted your dear ones must have been to have you home again as a great undertaking to travel so many miles. It's such a blessing you like the place & that you are so happy & prosperous. To be the reverse must be terrible when it happens, especially so far from home. I'm thankful to say we are as usual nothing very special has happened. This last summer was a very wet one but we had a very good season as fortunately we had booked our visitors forward. I don't know how long it takes for you to get a letter thus although the year will be started it will not be very old. To wish you & yours a very happy New Year, and all the years to come. Don't think i've written to you since you were here but i've got so many friends I may have done and forgotten it. Don't think there is much at Walton in changes of much interest. And I rarely forget if I wrote last year so much not any & name up what you may already know. We are having up to now a very mild winter. Only one week end being frosty but dare say it will come as it often does later on. Trusting you are enjoying all that is best and that such may continue always is the very sincere wish of yours.
Very truly
