When I stumble upon In Memoriam cards and obituaries, it always kicks me in the gut a little. The hardest part of genealogy is its reminder of the fragility of life.
“I sometimes find it half a sin,
To put to words the grief i feel,
For words like nature, half reveal,
and half conceal the soul within,”
― Alfred Lord Tennyson, In Memoriam
